Ever since I had my first puff of Ganja, I have dreamt of going to Amsterdam - the Mecca of every Cannabis Connoisseur. While staying in London, my partner Nina and I decide to spend a week there.

The trip from London is quite interesting... zooming in the Eurostar train at 300 km/h from Waterloo station, under the English Channel, up into France and through to Brussels where we change trains and head off to Amsterdam.

Nina and I are bursting with anticipation. After a very busy stay in London we are both looking forward to chilling out a bit and finally finding some decent Ganja. Good weed in London is very hard to come by.

We arrive at Amsterdam central station in the late afternoon. It is pretty much the heart of the city and it seems that everyone passes through here sooner or later - the local businessmen, tourists, hippie-crusties ... lots of people from all over the world, trying just as hard as we are to get their shit together and hopefully get a good night's sleep at the end of the day.

Fortunately, our hotel is pretty close to the station, so we trundle our luggage over the cobblestones, zig-zag through a couple of blocks while we get our bearings and find our hotel. The St. Nicholaas is a welcome sight. It looks cozy and inviting - just what our travel-weary souls need.

As soon as we get to the room, we dump the luggage and scope out the facilities. Our room turns out to be very nice, with a great view ... but Nina and I can only think of one thing: we are finally here, so let's not waste any more time and let's find some weed.

After a few minutes of walking around ...
